A 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is only the beginning of a path of learning, growing and honing skills of the lifelong journey that is yoga. Yoga Sukhavati’s Yoga Alliance certified 300 hour Advanced teacher training program nurtures the graduate of a 200 hour training to become a skilled yoga teacher offering transformation to those who are interested in liberating their state of mind and lives. The self-paced advanced training is offered in weekend or week-long immersions allowing you to tailor your training to your own timing. Yogasana in the Sukhavati method is practiced with clear anatomical instruction to create a grounded awakening and an experience beyond the physical. The poses are forms of sacred geometry which when performed at the most beneficial time of day, month, year or cycle of an individual’s life, create an inner harmony with primordial awareness.

The self-paced Yoga Sukhavati 300 hr advanced teacher training is offered in 20, 50 hour and 100 immersions which can be attended at any time during the students journey to certification. Each immersion includes a thorough investigation of the asana practice through the lens of the particular focus of the immersion. The training offers a joyously comprehensive program in Yoga Asana, Ayurveda, Buddhism, Seasonal Self-Care and women’s health, providing the opportunity to regain balance through practices attuned to the seasonal changes.

Participants must have graduated from a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training Program in order participate in the Yoga Sukhavati 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training for certification.

The Art of Touch is a Yoga Sukhavati 50 Hour Immersion course which awakens sensitivity and ease with physical connection through the modalities of Thai massage, Asana Adjustments, and Acro-yoga. It is the perfect exploration for yoga teachers who want to develop skills in how to see bodies, and techniques to effectively help deepen their students experience through hands on adjustments and energetic healing.

The Art of Touch is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Program. It count as 50 hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.

Prerequisite: Adjustment lab is open only to graduates of 200 hour yoga teacher training program.

The Art of Sound is a Yoga Sukhavati 50 Hour Immersion course dedicated to sonic exploration. The voice is one of the most important tools for a yoga teacher. It is through the skillful use of their voice and language that a yoga teacher guides, nourishes, and inspires their students. The explorations through the Art of Sound Immersion will help you open and strengthen your voice. Through Sanskrit studies, mantra, kirtan, experimental vocalization, crafting unique dharma talks from the heart, speaking with wisdom through understanding the power of language, you will find your voice as a teacher.

The Art of Sound is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 50 hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.

The Art of Teaching is a Yoga Sukhavati 50 Hour Immersion course which refines your skill as an asana teacher. The course focuses on the deep investigation of advanced asana practice,  teaching practicums with personalized feedback, developing the eyes of a teacher, learning how to address the diverse needs of your students, investigation of intelligent sequencing, refining the craft of rhythm and pacing, and developing the techniques to teach beginning, open, and advanced level classes.

The art of becoming a well-rounded and confident yoga practitioner and teacher is rooted in the ability to nourish one’s self. Drawing from the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine’s Seasonal nutritional and energetic practices, Yoga Sukhavati’s Art of Seasonal Self-Care 50 Hour immersion teaches you skillful ways to balance and awaken your being. Learn to nourish yourself through the practice of specific Asanas which awaken pathways of energy and healing in meridians and organs. Expand your yogic knowledge and asana repertoire with daily practices and postures that change with the seasons, nurturing your own practice and expanding what you have to share with your students.

The Art of Seasonal Self-Care is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 50 hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.

Only open to students taking Yoga Sukhavati 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training for certification.

 

THE ART OF AYURVEDA

The Art of Ayurveda is a Yoga Sukhavati 50 Hour Immersion course which delves deeply into India’s traditional healing practice. With the study of Ayurveda, we are embracing an ancient and holistic approach to health and folding it into our modern lives. Ayurveda treats the whole self and practices are done daily. What has been weakened in the body becomes strengthened to allow the systems to naturally achieve health. When we are able to look at our own body-mind as an organism with its own unique formula for balance, then we can support others to find their own balance. This course will provide you with fundamental Ayurvedic principles, understanding one’s own dosha (body type,) Asana practices to balance your dosha, subtle body-nadis and chakras, diet, pranayama, lifestyle attunement, bodily cleanses and herbs. This immersion includes Ayurveda and Women’s Health. Look at the cycles of a womans life from menstruation, pregnancy through menopause from an Ayurvedic perspective. Learn what herbs, diet and daily practices can bring harmony to the female rhythms.

ANATOMY OF ASANA

In this weekend workshop, we’ll look at a variety of yoga postures through the lens of musculo-skeletal anatomy, with an emphasis on raising more awareness about: i) the most common alignment issues that arise within each posture, as well as the potential anatomical causes of such issues; ii) the safety considerations that might exist within each posture, along with an exploration of skillful techniques that can reduce the likelihood of injury; and iii) sequencing strategies that might best prepare for each posture.

Anatomy of Asana is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 HR Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 14 hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.

Replenish yourself with yoga and ayurvedic practices to heal the internal disjunction, restore and renew your connection to yourself and the world around you. Honor your sacred sensuality, awaken intuition, and invite Shakti prana, divine feminine energy into your being.

Sessions will include asana, diet, mudra, meditation, and ayurvedic practices for to help nourish you throughout the month.

Shakti Prana is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 HR Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 18  hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.

The essence of Buddhism is compassion for all living beings, co-mingled with the direct realization of the ultimate nature of reality. Through the study of compassion, mindfulness and wisdom the wish for freedom is nurtured.

A 3 day Silent Meditation retreat is required  for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 HR Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 20  hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification. Students can attend a Vipassana retreats at IMS, Dharma Drum or Spiritrock.
